Length of your resume

The length of the resume varies depending on the amount of data an individual has regarding their education as well as professional qualifications. There is no standard length which all resumes must abide by. For individuals who do not have a lot of education and work experience a minimum of one to two pages is advisable. Those individuals with a lot of educational background as well as work experience can have as many as three pages. The information on your resume needs to be only data that is relevant. List of items to include in your resume

The change might not be on the entire resume but on some items such as the opening declaration, the personal attributes and the key skills. These are major items on your resume that need to respond with the job requirements. The work experience should also be customized for each application to indicate how the work experience you have is relevant to the position you are applying for.

Customizing your resume

There are several methods that one can use to make their resume customized. The first method is by the use of opening declaration to connect your education and experience to the company as well as the job requirements. The second is the use of precise phrases or key words all over your resume. The third is the placement of the key skills at the start. What to include in your resume

There are several items that are a must have in every resume:

Software/technical skills: this list should include the various technologies you can competently use such as spreadsheet, word processor, programming and tools such as cash registers.

Personal attributes: this section should show the potential employers that you are trustworthy, reliable, honest and a quick learner especially if you don’t have a lot of work experience.
Educational history, employment history, referees, testimonials and key words are other items that can be included in the resume.
